Ani Luna Zafieri

Ani Luna Zafieri,  is a classically trained pianist. Bmus, Ma.

She started to take piano lessons at the age of four.

She was born and raised in Croatia although her roots are Italian; she attended the primary and the secondary schools in Italian language, as well as the music school.

She has a Bachelor and the Master degree in Piano Performance from the Conservatorio di Musica “Giuseppe Tartini” of Trieste and the Conservatorio di Musica “Benedetto Marcello” of Venezia.

She got a scholarship for both of the degrees .

Her main interest was always the piano, but she also studied organ and harpsichord, as well as the clarinet which she started when she was 12 and was an active member in the woodwind orchestra for 10 years.

In 2010 shehad the honour to sing under the direction of M. Riccardo Muti at the festival “Le vie dell’amicizia”, Italy.

Since she was a child she was fond of the Irish culture so that’s why she took part in the Exchange Erasmus Project that took her to the CIT Cork School of Music when she was at the final year of the Master degree in Venice.

Laterthat year she was granted with the Working With Music scholarship.

She is a piano and theory teacher in Togher Music School since 2016 and in September 2017 she started to teach piano at the Music4Children music school.

Her plans for the future are to stay in Cork.
